Designed to be a substantial portfolio of branded hotels, our current, up to $35 million private equity offering is currently partnering in two hotels in Canada; one in Laval QC, and one in Halifax NS., and intends to acquire more value-add opportunities throughout North America at below market prices.
The Management Team will manage the daily operations of the Fund itself, and assume the role of asset managers for all of the hotels held in the Fund. Meanwhile, the daily operations of the hotels will be professionally managed to ensure that all brand standards are met and that onsite management is focused on customer service and maximizing profitability from operations.
Our Management Team is strategically aligned with all investors, and intends to hold 35% of the equity in the Laval property, and 25% in the Halifax property, and will always hold a minimum of 15% of equity in all other acquisitions. As a further commitment to the unitholders our management team has capped their fees on the Fund as up to 1% of funds under management which helps ensure that the Fund is always focused on maximizing returns to all unitholders.
As taxes are a consideration for everyone, our Fund intends to use the most tax efficient manner to distribute quarterly cash distributions to all of its unitholders; from the operational proceeds in the operation of its hotels, to the gains realized from the appreciation in the hotel real estate.
